Let's connect to create operational excellence

A Human Centric Intelligent Society: we believe that human centric ICT can help create a more intelligent society, a better place for human beings and a better place to conduct our business. It is a sustainable world where we can live and prosper.

The digital world presents new possibilities to connect assets, intelligence and employees, giving you a connected infrastructure. We can enable businesses to become always connected, leveraging all their assets and workforce, to unlock complexity, innovate and meet their business demands.

We have a proven track record in integrating IoT and have expertise in collaborating across multi-partnership ecosystems. As a world class technology partner, we have delivered agile IT solutions for organisations including Heathrow’s Terminal 2, the development of Schiphol Airport, Scottish Water, and Grocon and Metawater Group.

Always Connected in Action

Assets can be managed proactively using sensor data and alerts on change of status. This reduces the cost of unnecessary manual checks, optimises work schedules and refocuses employees on value-add activities.

Always Connected in Action

The resilience of assets can be increased through the accurate reporting of work and optimisation of maintenance schedules – aligned with best practice, policies and warranty guidelines.

Proactive condition-based measurement

We provide data from sensors and connected assets to proactively monitor the condition and performance of equipment.

This drives smarter decisions and shifts from time-driven to event-driven maintenance - for better performance and cost efficiency.

As a result you can:

  • Manage assets using criteria that work for your operations - with a clear audit trail of maintenance interventions.
  • Pre-empt and prevent breakdowns - reducing the cost of outages and subsequent penalties
  • Deploy employees where they are needed most - avoiding unnecessary interruptions to planned work
  • Ensure assets work as hard as possible - increasing their lifetime value and Grocon and Metawater cost of ownership
Intelligent assets for full traceability

We ensure assets can be connected and visible at all times.

For example, machinery, construction materials and assets can be tracked across a project's lifecycle. This provides end-to-end traceability from on-site delivery through to in-life operations. As a result, project costs can be better controlled with accurate information about available equipment and resources.

Equally, field workforce and remote worksites can be quickly assembled with a digital hub that connects employees with relevant data and applications. This reduces project delays, increases utilisation and minimises penalties.

Always Connected in Action

The field service workforce can easily access applications, data and documentation. Time-consuming paperwork is replaced with online processes that instantly transfer information back to central operations centres.

Always Connected in Action

Communications and local infrastructure can be quickly assembled as 'pop-up sites' to accelerate project delivery. This gives immediate access to cloud-based applications and systems, enabling the easy exchange of information across sites, teams and third parties.

Meet expectations

A productive workforce is equipped with the right training, information and equipment.

This improves efficiencies and project completion times whilst meeting expectations in an increasingly competitive market.

For example, we ensure employees have full insight on projects and problems so that they can:

  • Arrive pre-prepared with the right equipment.
  • Achieve quicker resolution rates, removing the cost and inconvenience of repeat visits.
  • Get it right first time, every time.
Infrastructure on the move

An agile, connected infrastructure can quickly mobilise worksites, get teams ahead of schedule and reduce the handover time between projects.

Our Hyper-Connected Van and "pop up" sites combine WiFi connectivity, secure unified communications and business applications to provide field workers with everything they need when on the move or at a new site.

It transforms how field service workforce interact, whilst tracking specific tools, parts and inventory for maximum operational efficiency.

Always Connected in Action

Field workers are empowered with real-time data on assets and equipment, delivered directly to wearable or mobile devices, so they can be more effective on the jobs they do.

Always Connected in Action

Site materials and resources are tagged and tracked for in-the-moment project intelligence on delivery times, installation, suppliers, usage and commissioning.

Improve productivity

Imagine a world where information is always available. Where your field workers are seamlessly connected with everything they need. And where employees are equipped with intelligence that lets them work in the most efficient way - any time, any place and on any device.

This is a world where employees can:

  • Instantly order stock and arrange customer appointments - saving time and call centre costs
  • Get jobs done quicker - with real time, context-aware training and information and paperless processes
  • Achieve higher first-time resolution rates – for cost efficiency and customer satisfaction with access to everything from engineering logs and stock levels to training manuals
  • Receive over-the-shoulder guidance - for example using video or augmented reality for extra support in challenging conditions and to fill skills gaps

This builds a workforce that's ready for the future, with a modern working environment to allow employees to work flexibly and take charge of productivity.

Manage supply chain complexity

We work with organisations to unlock complexity from supply chains into integrated value chains by harnessing intelligence from partners, suppliers and contractors.

This creates collaborative working and information sharing, helping your employees operate dynamically in an era of connected infrastructure.

We help deliver a 360-degree view of the people, systems and infrastructure that make up the supply chain. This lets you:

  • Exchange information across organisational boundaries
  • Monitor the tasks of multiple teams
  • Predict or respond to events
  • Invent new business models and experiment in new styles of partnerships

Always Connected in Action

Asset data can be retrieved by simply scanning equipment - enabling accurate reporting, targeted intervention and effective maintenance.

Always Connected in Action

Connected sensors send data about infrastructure performance and trends. This enables proactive, condition-based maintenance - improving supplier management and increasing assets’ lifetime value.

Predict risk with actionable intelligence

We extract value from large volumes of data generated by connected plant, equipment, and assets.

This takes advantage of the breakthrough advancements in cloud, data platforms and analytics, giving employees valuable information at their fingertips.

We enable organisations to understand trends, react quickly to changing conditions or predict and prepare for future events – creating effective working practices that manage risk, operate safely and meet stringent regulatory requirements.

Operate safely with digital innovation

Our solutions improve safety and reduce risk by introducing higher levels of automation and machine learning. This ensures the right people are on site with the correct levels of access.

This complements employee activities - for example in remote or challenging environments – reducing the opportunity for human error and improving regulatory compliance.

At the same time, employees can be better equipped with the latest in wearable technology, augmented reality and geo-tracking – receiving contextual support whilst feeding back real-time biometric data and insights on working conditions.

Skills research

The skills crisis has to rank as one of the most important challenges facing the energy, utility and built environment sectors today. To help businesses get to grips with the skills gap crisis, Fujitsu commissioned research to compare the perceptions of employers with those who will comprise the next generation of workers. 250 directors, senior managers and business owners from the energy, utility and built environment sectors were interviewed for the research, along with 1,004 young students currently deciding which GCSEs to take: a major crossroads in the journey towards a career.
